Massive 20+ Lesson Oliver Twist Scheme for Low Level Learners

Massive 20+ Lesson Oliver Twist Scheme for Low Level Learners

Here is a full half-terms (20+) lessons for Oliver Twist. The scheme includes a wide range of starter tasks, assessments, reviews and different reading and writing tasks. This scheme is suitable for low level learners. I have used this with my Y7 and Y8 learners who enjoyed the range of activities and tasks. This would also be suitable for Primary School learners and ESL / International learners. All lessons contain levelled learning objectives, key word foci and a review/starter task per lesson. Each lesson should take around 45-60 minutes depending on your learners. You can also use the 2005 version of the film to help accompany the teaching of the scheme as well as the extracts references. This scheme is suitable for low level learners. I have used this with my Y7 and Y8 learners who enjoyed the range of activities and tasks.

OCCUPATIONS Memory cards

OCCUPATIONS Memory cards

A memory game is a funny way to learn vocabulary. School year is almost over in most of the countries. Have students review occupations while having fun, matching pictures with the correct words.Comments are appreciated. Playing the Game The first player chooses a card and carefully turns it over. Be sure not to bother the surrounding cards. The player then selects another card and turns it over. If the two cards are a matching pair for example two Jacks then they take the two cards and start a stack. The player is awarded another turn for making a match and goes again. If the cards are not a match they are turned back over and it is now the next players turn. The next player chooses their first card and turns it over. If it is a match for one of the cards the previous player turned over then they try to remember where that matching card was and turn it. If they are successful at making a match they place the cards in their stack and choose another card. If the first card turned over was not a match for one previously turned over the player selects another card in an attempt of making a pair. If they are unsuccessful in making a match they flip the cards back over and play is passed to the next player. A players turn is not over until they are unable to make a matching pair. The game continues in this fashion until all the cards are played.

Jobs Taboo (ESOL/ESL/EAL/EFL)

Jobs Taboo (ESOL/ESL/EAL/EFL)

12 cards naming different job titles. Great for lessons on jobs or employability. Learners have to describe the job at the top without using the words on the card. Fully editable to make it harder or easier for your learners, these clear cards can be printed on card or paper and laminated if you so choose. Brilliant starter for any work related lesson or a great way to extend ESOL/ESL/EFL/EAL learners vocabulary and encourage students to speak more. Great fun!
