Beginner's German with Schubert the Dog

Beginner's German with Schubert the Dog

Schubert is a small brown dog. He is very intelligent but he often makes mistakes! Sometimes his mistakes make a big mess. Sometimes Schubert gets into trouble! But in the end, everything always turns out alright. Read about Schubert’s mishaps and learn German words and expressions along the way. ‘Beginner’s German with Schubert the Dog’ consists of ten short, stand-alone chapters, each including 15 German words or phrases which are written in bold directly after the matching English words or phrases (150 words/phrases in total). After each chapter is a list of vocabulary, as well as a ‘Notice’ (quick bit of information about German), and a page to test or practise your new words. More review tools, a recipe, a pronunciation guide and a complete vocabulary list are also provided.

GERMAN FOR CHILDREN - NUMBERS 0-31 - I HAVE, WHO HAS? GAME

GERMAN FOR CHILDREN - NUMBERS 0-31 - I HAVE, WHO HAS? GAME

PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING LANGUAGE SKILLS AND PRACTICING NUMBERS 0-31 IN GERMAN! I HAVE, WHO HAS? is a lively whole-group communicative activity, perfect for practicing numbers 0-31 in GERMAN. The repetitive nature of the questions and answers really do help to embed key vocabulary. The game has a multi-skill focus: speaking, listening and reading, and some engagement with basic writing in GERMAN. The aim of the game is to create a GERMAN human number chain as quickly as possible. The game works best against a timer, regularly over a longer-term series of lessons, and several times in a single lesson – can students beat their own time record? Students can also apply their knowledge of numbers in a very practical way, practice their GERMAN spelling, and put their artistic talents to good use at the same time, by creating their own set of question cards on the Walk & Talk card template. Do some high-speed counting warm-up activities, forwards and backwards, to get everyone ready to play! The resource consists of a single, non-editable pdf file; please read the TERMS OF USE carefully – it's free to download, but is copyright , and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. VIELEN DANK UND VIEL SPAß!

German Activity Cards

German Activity Cards

Developed by experienced language teachers, these unique reading practice cards are designed for individual, “self-service” use. They can be placed in a Resources Centre, used in class (e.g. for carousel activities) or borrowed for homework. The cards are intended to be printed and laminated to be used again and again. Students help themselves to cards, answer the questions in their exercise book, then mark their work (or their peers’) and write their scores on the record sheet. There is no preparation, marking or duplication for teachers, allowing time to be spent where most needed.
