FIFA 2018 WORLD CUP WORKSHEET WITH MARK SCHEME

FIFA 2018 WORLD CUP WORKSHEET WITH MARK SCHEME

(It does look a bit strange that some of the writing doesnt fit in the box properly on the LO but this is just in the preview, it will be all lined up when you download) Attached is the official FIFA rankings as of the 4th June 2018. The children must use this information to solve the variety of mathematical problems. Brilliant KS2 lesson in the run up to the world cup. I also did a follow up lesson where the children had to produce a bar chart of the top 5 teams in the world and then 5 teams of their choice - they absolutely loved it. This resource also includes a mark scheme and a feedback questions to reduce your workload! Enjoy! Once downloaded this is editable through microsoft word to make it easier/harder to suit your class.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Revision Game

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Revision Game

This game can be used for all subjects and for all abilities. There are brief explanations on how to change things to match your subject in the notes page on the first two slides. All you need to do is write in your questions and answers and it will do the rest. I have titled “correct answer” on each question enry so if you click it it will move you up the money board. Click an incorrect one and it will tell you it’s wrong and you lose. Classes I have used this with have really enjoyed it and it has prompted whole class discussion.

Football World Cup 2018 Problem Solving activity (Great to engage boys)

Football World Cup 2018 Problem Solving activity (Great to engage boys)

This is a great problem solving activity for groups to work through in small groups to plan the fixtures for the 2018 World Cup. It is great for engaging boys who maybe struggle to become integrated in group work and problem solving activities. When I used this in a class we spent 90 mins planning and the another hour in the computer lab producing a document and posters for the World Cup.

008 Problem-solving, geometry puzzle, G&T yr7

008 Problem-solving, geometry puzzle, G&T yr7

The problem of the dropped box of matches, pt 2 “Isabella Ringing dropped a box of matches, the box opened and the matches went everywhere. As she went to pick them up she knocked some of them into different positions. This gave her an idea for some puzzles to set for her friends.” A set of six matchstick puzzles to promote problem-solving skills - part 2 of 2. Suggested that it is used alongside ‘sticks’ of some sort so that kids can physcially explore the problem. We Solve Problems is a charity, founded by three PhD mathematicians, whose aim is to promote the use of advanced mathematics within secondary schools. We want to encourage creative mathematical thinking, to develop a skill within pupils for presenting their results clearly and coherently, as well as promoting personal problem-solving skills. Visit us at wesolveproblems. org. uk. We would very much appreciate it if you could take time to follow us, and hopefully review this resource as well, as this helps others to find us. Thank you.

Christmas activities, Christmas activity. Can your class save Christmas from Santa's evil brother?

Christmas activities, Christmas activity. Can your class save Christmas from Santa's evil brother?

Great fun Christmas activities, complete and ready to use. Lots of engaging and fun activities and a primary activity of building and firing straw air powered rockets in the classroom (no need to go outside). Please don't stop reading! This is not a lesson only for science teachers... A story is woven and as part of the lesson the learners build rockets to save Christmas from Safcut - who is Santa's evil brother. All instructions are included and the lesson teaches the learners almost automatically, this is NOT a lesson only for our friends the science teachers (although it's excellent for them too!) - any of us can use this fun and imaginative lesson. Who is Safcut? What's his plan? Can your class save Christmas? The length of the lesson is very flexible, there are activities you can miss out and on the other hand there is a Christmas cracker based extension. So, the lesson can easily last anywhere between 1/2 hour and 1 and a 1/2 hours depending on your needs. This is definitely not a Christmas quiz, it gets the learners out of their seats, keeps them focused and engaged as they work in teams building and creating. It's a great lesson you can use with all ages from 6 to 16 and it won't go out of date so you can use it for years to come, which makes it excellent value at this price ! As well as being great fun and entertaining it is also educational and it includes: literacy, SMSC, team working skills, cooperation, physical building skills, questions with answers, activities with answers, play ball game, what engineers do, identify parts of a rocket, joke telling etc High quality lesson, great for Science teachers, and all other teachers too! Happy teaching ! Barclayfox. Key words: Christmas: activities, Christmas activity, Xmas, saving Christmas, Santa's evil brother, quiz, Xmas.
