#### Linear Modeling Projects! (CCSS.HSF.LE.A.1)

This class project is sure to be a hit with any and all of your students! This bundle includes 3 projects in one. All the projects relate around the same idea. Students have been hired as consultants for the Baltimore Ravens, Real Madrid or Monsters University to solve some problems. Students must use the provided data to create a linear regression (line of best fit, least squares equation) in order to determine a correlation coefficient. Afterwards, students identify residuals for each piece of data. After collecting all the necessary information, students are led through questions related to the organization. When I did this in class I gave all three projects and let them choose. The choices were mixed and the students loved that they were able to individualize the days lesson depending on their interests. After students were finished each group received a reporting form. This is the form the "consultants" would hand their employer to summarize their findings. This was absolutely a hit in our class! If you don't want all three I will put each project up individually. #### Probability and Central Tendencies Relay Race Review

One of the biggest internal debates teachers have are review games. We want to make reviews interesting and engaging yet rich and meaningful in regards to content. We have found no better way to combine these two qualities than with a relay race. The relay race requires students to do a large amount of work but also get out of their seats, interact with others and enjoy a friendly competition. This relay race review is focused on probability and central tendencies. Topics covered include; probability, complementary events, complementary probability, mean, median mode, stem and leaf plots, tables and box and whisker plots. This is a great activity for your pre-algebra or algebra 1 students.
