PowerPoint - Revision Day - Application, Research Methods and Biopsychology

PowerPoint - Revision Day - Application, Research Methods and Biopsychology

This Powerpoint is used during our UK Revision Workshops perfect for revision covering the main areas students struggle making it accessible to all and raising attainment with here is some teacher feedback:"The pupils responded really positively to the session and felt that they had learnt a lot about exam technique. They also felt reassured that they did have good subject knowledge" "Nick's intensive intervention workshop on Application, Research Methods and Biopsychology contributed to a real improvement in focus, confidence and drive amongst weaker students. So much so that we had our best ever AS results in terms of attainment and value added.""Just to say thanks once again for wonderful session and delivery of books that the students have found so useful. I have had really positive feedback about the session. In fact one boy has just brought in some beautiful homemade cupcakes from his grateful mum because as a pupil premium student we paid for him. I feel these are really for you, but they wouldn’t make it in the post! I will be contacting you about help next year – almost certainly Year 12 and Year 13. Follow up after the exam - Hi Nick and Bethan, it went brilliantly! Over 50 per cent of my 51 students got A grades – high proportion of pupil premium students."Content:09.00 – 09.05 Welcome09.05 – 10.40 Application style questions related to topics10.40 – 11.00 Break11.00 – 12.00 Research Methods/Graphs/Tables12.00 – 13.00 Lunch 13.00 – 14.00 Graphs/Inferential Tests14.00 – 14.10 Break14.10 – 15.15 BiopsychologySummary & Any Final Questions

Question Tracking from Year 2 AQA specimen papers on student checklist - AQA Psychology

Question Tracking from Year 2 AQA specimen papers on student checklist - AQA Psychology

I have plotted on a checklist all previous questions that have been asked on the 3 A2 specimen papers. Useful to see what has been asked before by AQA. The numbers represent how many marks each question was worth. So if it says 2,2 then it means two questions of two marks each. If it says part 12, then it means there was an essay on this and another subsection from the list.

Basic Scheme of work 2017-2018 - Year 1 (AS) AQA Psychology (Memory, attachment, research, social).

It is a very basic scheme of work with an outline of how I split up the AS content lesson by lesson. It it set out with 2017-2018 dates on it ready for the incoming year. This is based on 3 lessons a week of 90 mins each and includes all content to be covered to sit the first year exams. It allows me about 3-4 weeks of revision with the first year students. NOTE: It is just what topic i cover in each lesson, it doesn't have any resources or assessments mapped out.
