Creating patterns inspired by MC Escher (Scheme of Work)

Creating patterns inspired by MC Escher (Scheme of Work)

I have used this scheme of work with my KS3 Year 8 groups. It could be adapted easily for other KS3 groups. This is the full scheme of work which looks at the work of MC Escher, abstraction, pattern repeats and some colour theory. There is more information and details about this on theartteacher.net It has clear tasks for a series of lessons with examples of outcomes etc.

View point and Perspective drawing skills Art Lessons

View point and Perspective drawing skills Art Lessons

This resource contains two, hour long lessons. One is on view points and one is on perspective. I use this as a basis for my pop art SOL where pupils create a clay chocolate bar and product perspective studies of it. I am very conscious of pupils presentation so the power point also shows pupils how to present their work. There are a couple or starter discussion points for each lesson and a challenge for a plenary. I hope you enjoy! If you purchase please leave feedback so I can continue to improve my resources.
