French New Year's Day Taboo Game - Nouvel An Français

French New Year's Day Taboo Game - Nouvel An Français

Play this French New Year's - Nouvel An Taboo game and have some fun! Playing games and having fun is when learning really happens in French class. I love to play the game Taboo with my students. French taboo is a game that is easy to modify and use with beginners and advanced students alike. Object of the game: One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card. Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues. Included: 30 playing cards in French and English to print, cut out and laminate - color copy 30 playing cards in French and English to print, cut out and laminate - grayscale copy File for projecting one card at a time Sheet for recording new vocabulary words 15 mots max - alternative way to play How to play LICENSING TERMS: This purchase includes a license for one teacher only for personal use in their classroom. This NO PREP activity is a fun way to encourage your students to speak more and is a perfect resource to use in immersion, core or homeschool curriculums. You can use these cards after teaching specific vocabulary for Christmas or as a fun interactive activity on a day when you want to just focus on speaking and reviewing in a different way. Read on to find out 9 ways I like to use these cards including the popular SCOOT game. Instructions and recording sheet are included. All cards are visually stimulating and feature a circle to punch out in the upper left corner so that you can print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and hook the cards together with a ring. Using these cards this way makes it easy to pull them out year after year to use as NO PREP speaking activities. Included: 30 speaking prompt cards - color (4 per page to print and cut out) 30 speaking prompt cards - black and white PDF version to project and avoid printing (1 card per page to project) 10 different ways to use these cards Scoot game instructions Scoot recording sheet There are many ways you can use this set of cards: ➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions. ➤ Project the pdf file in class to work in group or with your whole class and avoid printing. ➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box. ➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements. ➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer. ➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards. ➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer true or false and to correct the false statements. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question. All cards are numbered so it is simple to stay organized. Full instructions are included. ➤ Use the cards with board games. Students must answer a question in order to move. ➤ Use the cards as an icebreaker activity at the beginning of the school year or right after school holidays. ➤ Great resource for tutoring sessions and vocabulary building.

Marking grid - this will speed up your marking.

Marking grid - this will speed up your marking.

Sick & tired of writing the same thing time and time again in ex books??? A feedback sheet, which can be stuck into books to help give feedback on what they have written. If you buy A4 labels from amazon (£5.20 fo 100) you can get about 8 of these on a sheet. These can also be adapted for your particular needs, boxes made bigger, bits deleted etc. I tend to write things in the boxes and highlight areas they need to focus on.

FRENCH CHRISTMAS FLASHCARDS POSTERS

FRENCH CHRISTMAS FLASHCARDS POSTERS

PERFECT FOR A FESTIVE FRENCH CLASSROOM AT CHRISTMAS - IDEAL FOR DEVELOPING FRENCH LANGUAGE SKILLS TOO! Create an instant introduction to FRENCH CHRISTMAS WORDS and give your learning environment a truly festive feel with this set of 30 posters / flashcards with words your FRENCH learners will enjoy at CHRISTMAS. I’ve included a selection of both generic CHRISTMAS words, such as ornament and Christmas tree, as well as more Francophone-specific words, such as Père Fouettard and la galette des Rois. The posters / flashcards will also help to promote FRENCH as a living language, featuring in the everyday life of your - and your students’ - classroom during the CHRISTMAS season. The posters / flashcards do look great in colour, but are still really nice if you prefer to print in B&W to keep costs down. I definitely recommend that you print on card stock and/or laminate for longevity - you’ll be able to display your Christmas posters and use them as flashcards to introduce Christmas words, as well as discuss similarities and differences in Christmas customs, for years to come! The posters/flashcards are in portrait format on A4 (8.5x11) paper. The resource consists of a single, non-editable file. Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully: the resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. MERCI BEAUCOUP ET JOYEUX NOËL!
