A flexible resource to bring in Easter words without jeopardising the SoW! Useful to revise basic information and questions but bringing in new vocabulary for Easter at the same time.

Francophone Countries Unit of Work

A Unit of work (18 files) introducing French speaking countries with work on nationalities and prepositions. Includes: 2 x ‘Fun with Flags’ - Colouring by numbers flags to reinforce colours and introduce French speaking countries. I have allowed pupils to use ICT to find out which countries the flags belong to once they have coloured in but there is also a Powerpoint presentation in case resources or time are limited. There are completed examples for reference and the Powerpoint can also be used as a quiz or a presentation. Francophone Top Trumps – a set of 35 cards with facts about 35 francophone countries and an explanatory Powerpoint, règles du jeu, with vocabulary. Top Trumps can be played in pairs, group or as a class starter and encourages Reading, Listening and Talking. The Top Trumps can be adapted for a range of abilities. There are also checklists with the values and a Powerpoint with a suggested writing task – the information from the ‘cards’ is used to fill in the gaps. Nationalities: 2 worksheets for pupils to cross reference the countries and nationalities plus answer sheets. Powerpoint introducing the prepositions used with countries, an accompanying worksheet and answer sheet. There is also a checklist of the gender for each of the 35 countries.

French February Scattergories Game - Février - Petit Bac February Scattergories is a fun game that will get students thinking about February vocabulary and word work practice. Instructions are included. Students will enjoy working in groups and learning together. This activity works well as a literacy center once students know how to play. Please note that this resource includes many references to American historical figures, holidays and general culture. This is a really fun activity to play with your students as they practice and build their February themed vocabulary. Students of all ages can play this vocabulary game. Perfect for core and French immersion curriculums. Players attempt to create answers for each of the four categories for each game on their game card. 4 game cards are included for a total of 12 games and 48 categories. This should be a fast moving game and there are only spaces for six words per category. The MAXIMUM they can write is six words so they have to choose them wisely. Students can be creative and flexible with their answers, but other players can challenge them! 12 games are included with 48 different categories! Just print out the game sheets and you’re ready to go. For younger students you can allow more time for thinking and writing, while older students will love the challenge of the timer. LICENSING TERMS: This purchase includes a license for one teacher only for personal use in their classroom. Licenses are non-transferable, meaning they can not be passed from one teacher to another.
