KS3/text level German Reading arrow-whole lesson introduction to reading strategies

KS3/text level German Reading arrow-whole lesson introduction to reading strategies

This tried and tested approach to reading provides a visual strategy which can be applied to a wide variety of texts in a second language or in English, improving not only language skills, but also general literacy. Particularly useful when exploiting authentic materials, it can equally be applied to more traditional texts and, once embedded, enables students of all ages to work successfully with more complex source materials than would otherwise have been the case. This resource models the strategy with a simple German text, however it can be applied to texts of a wide range of difficulty. It includes a ten slide teaching presentation to introduce the strategy, comprehensive teaching notes accompanied by thumbnails of all the materials, plus student sheets and the strategy arrow, which can be laminated for repeated use. The resource is also available modelled with a French text and with a Spanish text.

GCSE Deutsch: 2 crosswords German - Topic: Fruits - Früchte, with speaking activities, DAF Rätsel

❤️ 2 German crosswords ❤️ These two beautifully designed crosswords both come with questions to encourage students to speak German. They also contain the solution at the bottom of each page. For classroom use you can just cut it off and later hand out to students for comparision. ❤️ About me ❤️ Hi there 👋🏼! I´m Cindy from Leipzig, Germany. I have been a German and English teacher for more than 12 years now. And I love coffee breaks ☕️. Coffee is just great. Over the years I have realized how much my students benefit most from lessons where THEY are the leaders, where THEY are encouraged to be proactive and learn from each other. Handing over the reins to my students doesn’t make me weaker as a teacher. It makes them responsible for their own learning and is highly motivating. I don’t want my students to be sailors. I want them to be CAPTAINS! (And I want coffee!) My teaching resources are all designed to enable students to USE the language. This is why you will always find the communicative approach in my resources - even simple crosswords come with ideas for speaking activities. All of my resources have been tested in class and will be updated regularly. Please rate my resources to help me build a reputation among millions of resources. Thanks for working with me ☺️ Cindy ❤️ Please see my other resources, too: [https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/CindyKuehne]
