This is a full scheme of work for KS3 computing/computer science. The theme of the unit is data representation, covering binary, text/images and boolean logic.

The unit consists of 8 lessons:

  • 1 - Binary
  • 2 - More Binary
  • 3 - Binary Addition
  • 4 - Binary Multiplication
  • 5 - Text and Images
  • 6 - Boolean Logic
  • 7 - More Boolean Logic
  • 8 - Assessment

Each lesson includes a PowerPoint and corresponding worksheet. I use these worksheets on OneNote but they can just as easily be edited in Word or printed out as unplugged activities.

Also included are three homework activities. These are to be completed on Microsoft Forms (along with assessment - links included) but can be printed out.

I hope you find this resource useful - any questions, please ask!

The presentations don't really teach or explain how to do anything, they just tell the students to do the activities.
