Introduction to gender lesson covering the difference between sex and gender and sex role stereotypes. Activities include engaging and interesting starter to encourage children to challenge their own gender stereotype, discussion of equality in the media, sports and health care with reference to supporting research. Mini whiteboard plenary to assess knowledge.

AQA A LEVEL NEW SPEC Psychology - Gender - Androgyny and BSRI

Two lessons worth of content covering the androgyny and Bem sex role inventory including AO1 and AO2 of each. Lesson includes a mini practical starter (carrying out BSRI), minimal note taking, supporting videos (Karen Brady - Apprentice) to support concept of androgyny, research support for students to counter argue against, evaluation activity in order to develop students elaboration of AO3 points and reference to exam style questions including the mark scheme.
