IAL C34 Specimen Paper - without space

IAL C34 Specimen Paper - without space

This is the IAL C34 Specimen Question Paper (free sample). Only questions appear in the document without any written space. I have written the paper using LaTeX ( a high quality typesetting document preparation system) and compiled to get the PDF output. Teachers and tutors can now easily save paper and print the question paper for exam practice and revision purposes of their students. The omission of writing space is a huge advantage in saving ink and paper, because original papers comes with a lot of empty space for the answer. The LaTeX written paper have all the math beautifully formatted and typeset even to the minor details. The question paper comes with a cover page for reference. Teachers can opt out this page if necessary when giving for print. Mark scheme is attached. NB: Here is a link to my store @TpT: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Smart-A-Level-Math

Geometry: Trigonometry 12 - Trig Identities (+ Exam Questions)

Geometry: Trigonometry 12 - Trig Identities (+ Exam Questions)

This is a whole lesson on trigonometric identities. This builds on the previous lesson on trig equations to add in the extra teaching and detail needed at AS Level mathematics. This lesson has a starter, learning objectives, loads of excellent teaching slides, examples and plenary. It also comes with exam questions that I normally use, so that pupils start to become familiar with exam style questions. It also comes with the answers (detailed mark scheme) and a handout of mark scheme jargon. This is an opportunity for pupils to become offay with mark scheme and how to interpret them, which will help them to maximize their marks in exams. This lesson does come as a wider series/ bundle on trigonometry and is available as such at a discounted average price. I highly recommend it as a series as each lesson does naturally build on the lesson before and does form an excellent sequence of lessons. NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thanks.

Geometry: Trigonometry 7 - Spaghetti Lesson (Trig Graphs Introduction) + Activity

Geometry: Trigonometry 7 - Spaghetti Lesson (Trig Graphs Introduction) + Activity

This is a fantastic lesson on introducing trig graphs by using spaghetti to draw them... it sounds a little wacky, but it is an incredible effective way of building understanding before looking at more challenging aspects. It is a foundational lesson that long term pays dividends! The lesson comes with a starter, all the instructions needed, an exemplar answer, examples and plenary. This lesson does come as a part of a large series/ bundle teaching the various aspects of trig, and there are three further lessons on trig graphs that follow on from this one. They are all excellent and I do highly recommend getting them as a series together as the lesson build on each other. NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thanks.

Geometry: Trigonometry 1 - An Introduction to Trig

Geometry: Trigonometry 1 - An Introduction to Trig

This is the first lesson of a much larger bundle. This lesson is about building an understanding of what trig is by doing various rich tasks / activities and starting to build an understanding of using soh cah toa or what I call "basic" trig. This is an excellent lesson and having this foundation makes the next lesson on building an understanding of how to solve these equations much, much EASIER. The lesson as I say comes with lots of activities, starter, learning objectives, key words, plenty of examples, questions with answers and a plenary. This is available as a bundle at a reduced cost or as a much larger bundle including additional A-Level trig material. NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thanks.

Area of a Segment

Area of a Segment

A series of lessons (1-2) finding the area of a segment. It recaps the basics of finding the area of a sector and then develops it to using 1/2absinC to find the area of a segment. It allows pupils to master the skill and then develops it to more challenging questions and combining it with sine and cosine rule. All tasks are differentiated to 2 or 3 levels to allow the skill to be practiced and then to stretch and challenge the more able. All tasks have either worked solutions or typed solutions so that the pupils can self mark. This has been used with top set year 11, all pupils engaged and made good progress.
