Plenary Comment Boards - A5

Plenary Comment Boards - A5

I have produced these simple plenary comment boards that can be used within any subject, each board has a speech bubble and a question the student answers about their learning/understanding within the lesson, they write their answers down and then share it with the class. I have laminated a set for my students so they can be used again. I have found them successful in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy & Health & Social Classes with low level learners. However, the questions can be adapted to meet the requirements with higher level learners.

Complaint Resolution using the TACTICS method

Complaint Resolution using the TACTICS method

This is a complete lesson on complaint resolution using the TACTICS method. The resource contains a lesson plan, worksheets, diagrams of the model, a company policy to review, and practical exercises for the group to carry out. There is also a feedback form included. The acronym TACTICS is used to work through a step by step process to handle a complaint from a customer. This is an important aspect of customer service. Once the learner has reviewed the process, it is a good idea to have the class separate into groups and role play various complaints scenarios using this method. All documentation is provided. I have used this successfully with a Business training class. They enjoyed it and provided excellent feedback. ** Leave a review for this resource and receive one free resource of your choice from my shop. Communications, Workplace, ESOL and Computing Resources

20 Philosophy Boxes Lessons! Complete Primary School P4C Teaching Course Materials! [Critical Thinking, Philosophy, Ethics, SMSC, Cross-Curricular. KS1, KS2, KS3.]

20 Philosophy Boxes Lessons! Complete Primary School P4C Teaching Course Materials! [Critical Thinking, Philosophy, Ethics, SMSC, Cross-Curricular. KS1, KS2, KS3.]

This bundle is for a collection of ‘Philosophy Boxes’ lessons/sessions. Each session comprises a P4C lesson/session that can be used 2-3 times with the same group. This contains the complete 20 sessions bundle designed for Primary School Teachers. It is tantamount to a complete cross-curricular P4C course and will be useful for countless hours of teaching across every subject. Many of the sessions are also great for tutor/form time. The Philosophy Boxes Method is a new approach to P4C designed for students in KS1, 2 & 3: it is graphically stimulating, engaging, and fun. This download is also suitable for older students: but the format was designed with younger students in mind. The aim of Philosophy Boxes is to bring philosophy and critical thinking into every subject at every level: we believe that any subject becomes philosophy when students are asked the right questions and when they think about a topic hard enough and on the deepest (most fundamental) level. The Philosophy Boxes Method presents students with a set of ‘mystery boxes’, when a student selects one of the boxes they are presented with 1 of 21 discussion/debate activities [that use 1 of 8 different formats]. The presentation has integrated AfL so that teachers can test knowledge at any point in the lesson. There are 10 different AfL slides to choose from. The design is colourful, animated, fun and engaging: all activities require movement and teachers can decide whether students are expressing their ideas purely verbally or by using post-it notes. The nature of the design is that it can be used for short sessions (5-10 minutes) or much longer sessions (up to 2 hours!) - it allows for classroom practitioners to be flexible and adaptable. It can, therefore, be used in lessons or as a tutor-time activity. The download includes a PowerPoint Show; if you would like an editable PPT presentation so that you can make your own ‘Philosophy Boxes’ presentation you will need to download the template here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/-the-philosophy-boxes-method-template-for-creating-your-own-philosophy-boxes-lessons-p4c-p4k-11463227 A complete selection of Philosophy Boxes lessons can be found here: https://www.tes.com/resources/search/?&q=philosophy+boxes+godwin86 Other bundles of ‘Philosophy Boxes’ lessons exist, depending on your need. Color Styling

Color Styling

Wearing unflattering colors can make you look older, ill, exhausted or dull. Colors not only enhance the appearance — they also influence our behavior. It’s to your advantage to consider the responses to color, both physiological and psychological. Color is important since it gets an emotional response from people and can really effect how you look. Color analysis can save you time, money, and closet space. If you know what colors work best for you, you can shop more efficiently, leave the clothes that don't flatter you in the store (with barely a glance), and shrink your wardrobe. Plus, wearing the right colors makes you look and feel good. Color Analysis is based on your seasonal colors. Every person falls in any of the seasons. Depends on your skin tone you may fall into summer, winter, spring or autumn seasonal color palette. In this book you will find complete guidance for color analysis, color styling, seasonal color analysis, color palette, color psychology, color theory, 4X4 Color Analysis System.

Interactive, Online Careers Guidance with Lesson Plan

Interactive, Online Careers Guidance with Lesson Plan

Careers advice is notoriously difficult to fit into busy school schedules. And now with OFSTED requiring schools to offer impartial careers guidance, as well as directives from the Government to improve careers advice to young people, it's more important than ever to give pupils information that can help them decide on their routes into further education, apprenticeships and jobs. This Teacher Resource Pack works in conjunction with the free online resource at www.careervooc.co.uk There are 9 free Career VOOC®s (vocational open online courses) for pupils and teachers to watch so far, with more in development, covering IT, Active Leisure, Accountancy, Hair & Beauty, Hospitality, Retail, Construction, Social Care and Childcare. Each VOOC® explains about the sector, allows students to take a self-assessment quiz to understand their skills and values, gives information on job roles in each sector detailing salary expectations, working conditions and day-to-day tasks, and shows next steps for each career path. Students can self-register via the website and access VOOC®s in their free time, but the Teacher Resource Pack shows how this can be incorporated into lessons such as form time, PSHE and allocated careers advice time. If you have a large amount of students such as a year group or multiple year groups, contact Virtual College for a Batch Upload Template and we can supply login details to you, enabling you to ensure students are ready to log in and start together when you are ready. vooc@virtual-college.co.uk
