This Halloween lesson contains a set of questions with keys, paired to a video and based on the legend of Jack o’ Lantern. It is suitable for ESL advanced students aged 12 to 16 as well as native speakers aged 11 to 15. Students practice their listening comprehension skills, but also their vocabulary (some questions ask the meaning of some words/adjective) and get to know the origins of jack o’ lanterns. After watching the video and answer the questions students can share their own experience of carving Jack o’ lanterns.
