Previously TES recommended author of 3 resources. Interactive resources, many of which involve Powerpoint or Excel to make Maths easier to plan and engage! Specifically I like to design repetitive yet engaging resources, which are often progressively difficult to foster calm lessons , create routine and encourage excitement in learning. 4th year of teaching, got an IMA scholarship for my potential ideas. Currently working in Spain in an international school, originally trained in England.

This resource contains 20 pyramid addition problems, 10 of which are on a easy sheet and the others on a hard sheet.

For both sheets: the first 5 problems are solely involving positive numbers when adding from the bottom of the pyramid upwards. The 6th problem involves decimals. The 7th, 8th and 9th involving negative numbers, with the 9th dealing with smaller negative numbers. Finally the 10th problem involves both negative numbers and decimals.

The hard worksheet involves the same pyramid as the easy worksheet, however, instead of having to solely add from the bottom of the pyramid, and work your way upwards, you have work down and up through the pyramid using both subtraction and addition.

I love the layout and would surely recommend. My children really enjoyed doing maths with this tool - even I have to say that I did try it out when I was in a dark place at 2 am.
