A lesson designed for year 7 intervention. Contains: think-pair-share and spider diagram containing the elements students will need to be successful. An explanation of what artful sentences are and two examples to practice with images. Students then must decide which piece of writing is better and highlight/ annotate the more successful piece (candidate one). As a plenary activity, students must put into their own words what they think successful creative writing looks like.
