GAMES WITH GOALS! GERMAN animals bingo games are ideal for developing listening, speaking, reading and writing/spelling skills. They’re also really useful for a focus on definite article and gender. The pack includes 21 non-editable files: ONE & TWO: 40 picture-only bingo 12-square grids, 4 per page (10 pages). You can give students a random selection of pages, with students selecting the order of grids they play from. You can also cut out the grids, and place them in a small bowl or similar object on tables. Students select grids randomly from the bowl. Depending on the size of your class, you should have several winners per game! You might prefer to laminate the grids, especially if you are printing in color - students can use wipe-clean pens, and you can recycle the grids many times. Color and B&W. THREE: 40 GERMAN word-only bingo 12-square grids, 4 per page (10 pages). FOUR: 40 English word-only bingo 12-square grids, 4 per page (10 pages). PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING LANGUAGE SKILLS IN GERMAN WITH A REALLY FESTIVE FEEL! Word searches are a fabulous way of encouraging students to engage with the written word in GERMAN, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set features ten differentiated word searches, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. It focuses on 33 GERMAN CHRISTMAS WORDS, which will also help to develop students’ awareness of some GERMAN Christmas traditions and figures, such as Saint Nicholas and Knecht Ruprecht. There are 5 GERMAN to ENGLISH grids, where students are prompted with the GERMAN words, and look for them in GERMAN in the grid. For additional consolidation, each grid also features an ENGLISH word list that they have to complete, really putting their knowledge to the test! There are also 5 ENGLISH to GERMAN grids, where the prompt words are given in ENGLISH, and learners have to find the GERMAN equivalent in the grid. For additional consolidation and practice in writing and spelling in GERMAN, they also complete the GERMAN word list on each page. Students can tell in which direction the words are written by looking at the arrow key on each grid. There is an answer grid for each word search, so that students can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it. The word searches are in landscape format, as this mirrors the common direction of reading from left to right, facilitating learner engagement with the activity.
