It covers Thanksgiving in the USA, rice festivals in Asia, the Jewish festival of Sukkot, the fruit festival in Thailand, the moon festival of harvest in China and the yam festival in Ghana. Perfect as part of a lesson or for an assembly for children aged 4 -11.

Key Term Definition Synonym Example of the word in a sentence Picture or Icon 2x Exam Technique Qs’ (Many have 3 Questions per Key Term) You have two version one with Pictures and one without. (Allowing students to draw their own image to represent the key terms) Also useful for PP/ EAL / SEN Students and those with literacy needs. Exam Technique can also help your more able students in the class. How can they be used? Here are just a few examples of how I use them. - Student complete the Q's and draw in the pictures. -Hide them around the room and have students find them before introducing a new topic (Guess the topic?) - Matching up activity. Remove the words in red (Or keep them) Cut the topic cards in half and have students find the matching pairs. -Encourage students to come up with their own extra key term topic cards or extra sentence they can use to include several key terms. -Literacy support when writing essays. -Revision material before exams. - Have a set laminated and cut out at the back of the classroom in a box for Extension activities. Making a new Religion Project

Students discover what makes up a religion through inventing their own by design a Holy Book, Temple, Special Symbol and Item. Very good as an end of term or Summer term project. Easily adaptable to different lesson lengths and numbers. Approximately 6 lessons worth of work, ending in a presentation by the students and an assessment. Any money earned from resources goes into printing educational and SEN materials and games for local schools. Jesus the Healer

Stories of Jesus miraculously healing ill and incapacitated people abound in the gospels. This collection of activities and discussions assist student to understand and appreciate the role of Jesus the healer in his first century CE context. An extensive discussion of background material is provided to assist the teacher when presenting material on the gospel healing miracles. Student activities include several writing task sheets, information sheets on illness and demons in the ancient world, a puzzle to be solved using Braille characters, a retrieval chart to analyse the form of a gospel story and a list of references to locate the healing stories in the four gospels. These activities can be used with students from upper primary to middle secondary year levels.
