Drugs + Alcohol - Cendrillon Song

Drugs + Alcohol - Cendrillon Song

Song in French from the group Telephone from the mid 80s about the problems of drugs and alcohol in society, theme of single mothers too. I used this as a promotion for A-level with my Y11 class. It was just a one off but there is potential to develop it with other themes... Walt Disney cartoons for children, fairy tales and creative writing... The first page is a gap fill from the song and the second one has some pictures to order as you hear the description from the song. Hope it helps!

Foux de Fa Fa

Foux de Fa Fa

During the summer holidays elskeffington posted this YouTube link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5hrUGFhsXo - to an amusing skit song in French from Flight of the Conchords. We liked it and the challenge, once we tracked down the lyrics, has been to use it in the classroom. Here is a little starter. Pupils fill in the missing words or phrases in the lyrics without knowing what it’s all about - it looks like just a random list of French. Then play them the song to see if they’re right. The second resource is a copy of the complete lyrics.

Les bêtises - Bébé Lilly

An end of topic lesson made for a top Y8 group that had done some work on the perfect tense. Sorry I only have a paper version of the word document, but you can make it yourself from the lyrics on the web (the ppt is pretty clear)

The perfect tense with hobbies

The perfect tense with hobbies

Using a reading task about what I did at the weekend to revise the perfect tense, I use it at the beginning of Yr9 with the topic 'Ca t'interesse' from Expo. Last activity is a game of football, you need to print a picture of a football to be able to play (or add one you can move on the ppt)
