Ma maison, mon appartement-text-handling

This resource is an exercise in text-handling. It consists of a series of tasks that include an MCQ, 'true/false', finding the equivalent in French, what a word/ grammatical element refers to in a paragraph, completing phrases in ones own words and filling in the blanks using words from the text. It is intended for students doing the GCSEs or the IBDP Ab initio programme. It can also be used for students doing the AS level.

An 80 slide PPT based on 'Ma maison'. Aimed at HL Junior students or Ordinary level senior students. A different way to present key vocab. Each slide is colour coded (blue/pink/green) to convey the gender/number of the noun. Each slide also has a photo and a word. There are a couple of activity slides too e.g. write a paragraph about your house, work in pairs to orally describe the bedroom in the photo etc... Also attached is a comprehension with English questions which can be used at the end of the PPT presentation in class/for HW etc... KS3 French – Describing Where We Live.

This is a set of resources to introduce and cover the topic of where you live. The resources introduce and practise: geographical locations; types of accommodation; rooms in the house; and household furniture. There is enough work for at least 6 lessons and there are worksheets that accompany all of the exercises on the Power Points. There is an assessment for pupils to complete, which will take 2-3 lessons. The assessment is based on producing an Estate Agents brochure for selling a house. With this there are examples of how to complete the assessment, criteria and a DIRT feedback sheet.
