Statistics: Normal Distribution Bundle (4 Lessons) - Perfect for S1 and S2

Statistics: Normal Distribution Bundle (4 Lessons) - Perfect for S1 and S2

This is four excellent lessons. All the lessons are approximately 25 slides and should be enough for a long double A-Level lesson (1hr 40 - 2hours) Lesson 1 - Standard Normal / Introduction Lesson 2 - Non Standard / Standardizing Lesson 3 - Backwards and Problems Lesson 4 - Approximation for Binomial Distribution NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thank you.

Mathematics Statistics 1 Lessons

Mathematics Statistics 1 Lessons

Mathematics Statistics 1 Lessons This is a set of lessons for S1 Statistics 1 A level Mathematics. The resources includes Powerpoints. Powerpoint include: Learning objectives Questions on the topic Important information written in red boxes to scaffold learning. Topics: Introduction Averages Measures of Spread Correlation Regression Probability Binomial Normal Theory Confidence Interval Revision Poisson I hope you enjoy these lessons, they can be used in the following ways: To deliver a course with reduced planning but not reducing quality of the lesson. As a basis for an observation lesson to save time preparing resources. To give to students for out of lesson learning. To support teachers who are new to this topic, again to reduce planning time. As a bases for your own lessons where you can include exam questions to each presentation. As an activity where the questions can be printed and cut out.

Confidence Intervals demonstration on Excel

Confidence Intervals demonstration on Excel

An Excel simulator does twenty samples each flipping a fair coin one hundred times. Each sample generates a confidence interval for the mean number of heads. On average, 19 out of the 20 confidence intervals will include the true mean of 50 heads, This simulation can be run many times (by pressing F9) and each time a new graph visually updates, showing how confidence intervals work. The number of flips and the probabilities can all be changed too.

Statistics: (S2) Normal distribution 4 - Approximation for the Binomial Distribution (+ worksheet)

Statistics: (S2) Normal distribution 4 - Approximation for the Binomial Distribution (+ worksheet)

This is the fourth of a series of lessons on the normal distribution. It is applicable for S2 in the UK, but international A-Level has this as a part of the S1 specification. 26 slides. This lesson needs to proceed lessons on the binomial and normal distributions, both available as lesson in my shop. Specifically this lesson is for teaching when to use the normal distribution as an approximation for a binomial distribution. It looks at why we use and looks in a lot of detail at common mistakes pupil's make in order for pupil's to avoid doing it and I have had excellent results on this topic using this resource. 26 slides. I have used the PowerPoint slides to structure the lesson, and includes plenty of examples, superb teaching slides with lots of custom animation, key words, learning objectives, differentiated questions and basic plenary.
