Mathematics Statistics 1 Lessons

Mathematics Statistics 1 Lessons This is a set of lessons for S1 Statistics 1 A level Mathematics. The resources includes Powerpoints. Powerpoint include: Learning objectives Questions on the topic Important information written in red boxes to scaffold learning. Topics: Introduction Averages Measures of Spread Correlation Regression Probability Binomial Normal Theory Confidence Interval Revision Poisson I hope you enjoy these lessons, they can be used in the following ways: To deliver a course with reduced planning but not reducing quality of the lesson. As a basis for an observation lesson to save time preparing resources. To give to students for out of lesson learning. To support teachers who are new to this topic, again to reduce planning time. As a bases for your own lessons where you can include exam questions to each presentation. As an activity where the questions can be printed and cut out.

Statistics: (S2) Poisson Distribution (2 lessons + resources)

Statistics: (S2) Poisson Distribution (2 lessons + resources)

This presentation contains 2 whole lessons, depending on the amount of time you have per lesson for A-Level! It comes with excellent past exam questions with answers. Specifically this lesson is for teaching ... what is Poisson distribution and normal distribution are and how and when to use the normal distribution as an approximation and approximation using the Poisson distribution. I have used the PowerPoint slides to structure the lesson, and included plenty of examples etc... and I have found to be a great resource to help pupils understand and make excellent progress. NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more excellent free and premium resources and as always if you purchase then please rate and feedback, thanks.

Statistics: (S2) Linear Adjustments / Combinations - 4 Lessons + Handout

Statistics: (S2) Linear Adjustments / Combinations - 4 Lessons + Handout

This teaching PowerPoint contains 4 whole lessons! Lesson 1: Linear adjustment of random variables Lesson 2: Linear Combinations of random variables Lesson 3: Linear combinations for normal distributions Lesson 4: Linear combinations for Poisson distributions + Rule sheet HANDOUT These lessons are very structured, with clear lesson objectives, clear examples and small activities to build understanding of what linear adjustments/combinations do and why the rules are the way they are. The lessons do link to a textbook that I use, however, for copyright reasons I can not publish these exercises, but this is easily substituted for another textbook that you use to accompany your course. I have found these PowerPoints to be very effective in teaching this topic. NOTE: Feel free to browse my shop for more free and premium resources and as always please rate and feedback, thanks.
