This is a tried and tested lesson plan for KS2 (but can also work for KS1) about how unkind words can have a lasting effect. At first reading it seems a little cheesy but I’ve used it with some pretty streetwise Y6 pupils and they loved it! The focus is on empathy and understanding the lasting damage a throwaway phrase or action ccan have on people.
