I’m a big advocate for colouring therapy for students and adults, and I already have quite an extensive collection of different quote colouring pages available in my store! They are wonderfully relaxing and especially effective for growth mindset as all quotes are inspirational and positive! Not only are these Day of the Dead quote colouring pennants ideal for decorating your classroom, but you’ll be amazed at the wonders it can do just by giving students a few minutes to wind down and relax by coloring. There are 10 different quotes to choose from! Students can just shade in using whatever colours make them happy, but there is also some white space available for them to add their own doodles too! So take a few minutes celebrating Day of the Dead in your lesson, during a morning meeting, indoor break, or give to early finishers, and let your students wind down and colour while reflecting on positive quotes about dealing with the loss of a loved one. Help your students build resilience and be all they can be. The first lesson involves children learning about the history of British harvest. They take part in an interactive starter, watch a PowerPoint about harvest, do a drama activity and a written activity, finishing with a philosophical discussion. The second lesson allows children to learn about Thanksgiving in America and how harvest is linked to thankfulness. Stop The Broomstick! A Halloween Themed Interactive PowerPoint Team Game

This is a preview version of a fun Halloween game based on 'Stop the Bus.' It is an interactive PowerPoint Game that can be played with the whole class or the whole school in assembly time. Please note that only the pictures denoted by a star can be played in this preview version. For details of the full game visit Stop The Broom! Halloween Themed Interactive PowerPoint Team Game Instructions Put pupils into teams of 2-4 Pupils take turns in choosing a picture. Click on the picture. Behind each picture is a letter. The letter will magically disappear so that pupils know the choices left. Pupils think of one item to go in each category beginning with that letter. A sheet for recording words is provided. Teams have 60 seconds to complete task. There is a timer on the slide. The witch will gradually disappear and the end of the 60 seconds culminates in a witch’s cackle. 'Happy' Halloween music plays in the background whilst pupils complete task. To return to the image page, click on letter on the top right-hand corner of each slide. If a team finishes before the 60 seconds, they shout “Stop the Broom!” Click on the slide to activate the witch’s cackle. Teams score 1 point if they have an appropriate item in the category. They get 2 points if no other team has that word. The length of time pupils have can be reduced or extended by altering the timing of the witch image.
