Are there any specific individuals or needs you need to be aware of? 4- Gather information in regards to current academic standards. How do these pupils need to be challenged? 5- What do I need to teach as a priority in my first few weeks? What gaps in learning need to be addressed? There will be many more issues you would probably also like to explore. However, if you use these key areas as an initial scaffold to your conversations, you should feel confident that you are ready to receive your new groups of students.
