SEND Social and Emotional "creating a construction model with an aim in mind"

SEND Social and Emotional "creating a construction model with an aim in mind"

This is an activity plan that provides ideas to support a SEND pupil in a mainstream class. the pupil will be asked to decide what they are going to build from the construction materials and they will aim to make a finished product. The design may alter during the construction as the model develops, which is fine. We want to encourage creative thinking. It links to lots of areas of the curriculum: maths, English, art, geography, history, D/T, and science and indicates ways of assessing small steps progress. These activity plans have been developed by teachers for teachers with multi-professional advisory support. SEND-Inspire is an online inclusion resource for educators to include pupils with SEND.
