Sequencing skills using iPads

Sequencing skills using iPads

This resource is aimed at teachers using iPads with students to provide ideas and inspiration for iPad activities in class. It’s suitable for all levels of teaching experience and digital skill, from new starters to experienced digital leaders. It can also be used as a general CPD resource for developing teaching skills, as the ideas suggested are not reliant on digital devices. Sequencing is an important thinking skill for students to develop. The first page of the resource provides the rationale for sequencing as a teaching concept and ideas to try out with suggested apps, along with differentiated levels of challenge for students to practise this skill. We’ve linked iOS apps but the ideas are adaptable to non-iOS / BYOD digital classrooms too. The second page provides some subject-specific ideas for lesson activities (our apologies if we’ve missed out your subject area!). We hope you’ll find some iPad teaching & learning inspiration here! About us: we’re developing a classroom app, Sparkjar, for use in iPad schools. We’ve made these free resources because we want to give something back to teachers whilst we raise the profile of Sparkjar. We hope you find them useful as part of your iPad teaching toolkit. There’s a link to our website in the resource - if you want to check us out, please do.

PSHE: New PSHE Bundle 2018-19

PSHE: New PSHE Bundle 2018-19

13 (more added!) hours of new PSHE lessons on some of the most pertinent and pressing issues facing students in 2018/19. These topics have been identified by the PSHE Association as essentials for the coming year and so this bundle has been planned following their recommendations. All 11 lesson packs are complete with at least one hour-long powerpoint, accompanying differentiated worksheets, clip links with questions, plenaries, clear LOs, starters and engaging, varied main task activities. All are well differentiated to three levels throughout to enable clear evidence of progress for all students. These lessons have been selected to be in this bundle as they all focus on relatively new issues or ones which need further awareness amongst young people in the diverse world of technology, fake news and potentially tough futures which lie ahead. These resources have been highly-rated individually by TES users, follow the same consistent format and are easy to follow. There is zero extra work required, although each lesson is still completely editable too. I use all of these myself as a Head of PSHE and Citizenship and I really hope you find them excellent value. I’ve put literally months of time into this to make these lessons top quality for my own school team. Please leave me a review and I’ll send you any other resource of your choice for free. Essential Teaching and Learning Resource - REVISION

Essential Teaching and Learning Resource - REVISION

This is an invaluable resource that can be purchased for teachers of Year 11, 12 and 13 and students looking for revision guidance. This could also be used as an INSED for Teaching and Learning purposes as it outlines and summarises memory techniques from most recent psychological research. The PP summarises information from 6 books on educational research and learning/memorisation skills. We all know that hours can be wasted on reading when students could be using time more meaningfully by utilising the most effective techniques. I say you DON’T need to spend 7 hours per day over Easter revising. Use this guide and you can revise effectively, relax and enjoy family life.
