Careers provision map to meet the new statutory guidance from Jan 2018 (GATSBY)

Careers provision map to meet the new statutory guidance from Jan 2018 (GATSBY)

This is a careers strategy that maps out careers provision from Y7-Y13 to help your school become compliant with the new statutory changes for careers launched in January 2018. The roll out of this plan will satisfy all Gatsby standards which outlines best practice in this area. The document is a comprehensive map of provision that can be adapted to any school setting (including one with a sixth form). The document can be edited so that you can include your school branding. The idea is the map is then printed at size A1. I have also included some recruitment documents and the pupil survey.

These resources will help students learn more about the different types of transport, how to use them safely and effectively, and the roles that different forms of travel can have on the economy and the environment. The lessons included in this pack have been designed with flexibility in mind. They can be delivered as individual lessons or as a complete set of three. We have also created supporting resources that can accompany the lessons or you can use your own.

Drop Down Day : Careers and Enterprise

Drop Down Day : Careers and Enterprise

Drop Down Day Pack - A set of 6 lessons to cover a Drop Down Day (6 hours) all about careers and enterprise. The Drop Down Day was put together for Year 10 originally, but all the resources are editable and well-differentiated so it could be used with any year group KS4 / KS3 with a tweak or so. The overall theme for the series of KS4 Drop Down Days was ‘Independent Living’, so this is just one in a series of six which ran throughout the year. This particular day was run just before the Year 10s went off for work experience, as we decided that this would be a great way to prepare them and convey the importance of focusing on their possible future employment opportunities. As 25% of Britains now class themselves as self-employed, two out of the six sessions also have a large focus on entrepreneurship and enterprise skills. All these individual lessons have been rated very highly by Tes users and are tried and tested in my own department. You can find many more inexpensive and free PSHE, Citizenship and RE resources at my shop:
Leave me a review and pick any other resource for free :)
