BATTLESHIP Printable Game boards for learning SPELLING and MULTIPLICATION TABLES

BATTLESHIP Printable Game boards for learning SPELLING and MULTIPLICATION TABLES

Great for Centre activities. Two fun versions of the game BATTLESHIP, which will make learning Spelling and multiplication tables more fun! Printable, competitive centre activities or games, which allow students to quickly learn as they play independently. The SPELLING BATTLESHIP, is fantastic, because it will cater for all levels of ability, as each player can using their own individual Spelling list. This is a game for 2 players; each one needs a battleship game board and a spelling list. The rules are similar to the original Battleship game, except words are sunk! The TABLES BATTLESHIP is a variation that focuses on multiplication facts. Try this board games as a fun way to assist students memorise times tables. In the beginning students can play, using only one multiplication table, but in my experience, it is more challenging when they use more. Playing in pairs encourages students to talk about their learning and I believe this sharing of ideas is vital to education.. This game will cater for all Tables, and the only thing players need is a games board and a marker.

Introduction to Halving | Halving by Sharing

Powerpoint & Worksheet Introduce halving quantities by teaching children to share cupcakes! Discuss the word 'fair' (or 'equal') and find out how to halve quantities. This is an interactive presentation with slides for the children to move the cupcakes around and 'share' them. You can then reveal the number sentence for each slide, e.g. 'Half of 6 is 3'. This also includes a cut-and-stick worksheet to follow-up. - Interactive - Engaging and colourful - Sharing cupcakes between two plates - Using the phrase 'one for me, one for you' - Explains the problem when halving odd numbers - Ends with an extension question for more able students - Includes worksheet

SMART Notebook individual number presentations for Maths Mastery - numbers 0,1,2,3

SMART Notebook individual number presentations for Maths Mastery - numbers 0,1,2,3

I have taken one number per file and introduced it in as many ways as I could think - different views, where it is on a numberline etc. I uploaded the files from home and I was unable to review them first, so I apologise if they are a little 'scribbled on' but I used them myself for teaching... for this reason these are free of charge. If you would like more (I do have them) I will upload them after putting them in the washing machine first so they are nice, clean and polished for you. Please ask if you want them....

Key Stage 1 and 2 have lovely schemes of work and .....well, poor old Early Years have to get on and re-create the wheel from nothing?! Well, I've done the courses and have sharpened my tools to get started on the work for you. This one looks at addition and subtraction, numbers 0,1,2 and 3 being one more/one less than each other. There is a little video hook for the start of the week to pique interest in magic tricks. Then the amazing ('cough') magic box/bag comes into its own..... have fun and be amaaaaazed! You're welcome :) Al
