Simple Online Number Bonds application

Simple Online Number Bonds application

Simple online Number Bonds application https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=78948:8 This web based application can be used to practice addition and subtraction Numbers Bonds up to 10 and 20. It also designed to be used either in an online mode, or the pages can be printed off for tests in class. All bonds generated are random and will be unique. There is also the opportunity to practice multiplication and division Number Bonds. It was built by a parent who was bored of hand writing out Number Bonds tests for his children. Trying to write out 50 bonds to 20 takes some time! There is a feedback / enhancement request facility at the top of the application.

FRACTIONS - DONKEY - 2 Matching Card Games - halves/quarters/eighths/thirds/sixths/fifths/tenths

FRACTIONS - DONKEY - 2 Matching Card Games - halves/quarters/eighths/thirds/sixths/fifths/tenths

This product contains: --- Game 1 - Halves, Quarters, Fifths, Eighths, Tenths (59 cards) --- Game 2 - Quarters, Sixths, Ninths, Twelfths (61 cards) --- Directions Each game contains matching pairs. Each set is quite big, so you can be selective in the pairs you want to consolidate with your learners. This is the activity you need when the fraction concept is still being developed. I find it's the ideal game to bridge the gap between 'hands-on' activities and abstract learning. Fractions and the language that goes with them can be difficult for some learners. I developed these two sets so I could use the cards in lots of ways. Once my kids can match the cards to the fraction they are ready to play the game, but I also get them ordering the fractions, writing fractions from the picture and playing Memory with just a few pairs. You just match this resource to the needs you have. I use them as a game for the beginning of RTI and it sets up a great atmosphere for an intense session. You can also use them for the last few minutes of a session. It is the perfect game to give to a teaching assistant or a parent. The rules are simple and it's the repetition that addresses the skill deficits. They more they play, the more they learn about fractions. This game is ideal to complement my intervention fraction program FRACTION FUN 1 (Years 1 and 2). There are enough cards in each set to just target those that need developing. The game will still be lots of fun. In a class I would put both these games in a Maths Centre or use them for small group rotations. The game is certainly the fun element of fractions, so they will be a hit however you use them.
