Year 2 KS1 SATs style questions on a smart notebook (mostly arithmetic)

This is a smart notebook slide I have created to work through with my current year 2 class. I have created the questions to look like those given in the SATs. The questions are mostly arithmetic and I will try and find some time to do a reasoning one in due course. The questions can be edited to suit your requirements which will save a lot of time. I hope this helps in some way :)

Fractions worksheets (with solutions)

Three worksheets on: comparing fractions, equivalent fractions and finding the fraction of an amount. Solutions are included. From https://placeformath.blogspot.com.cy/p/worksheet-shop.html

Fraction of an amount (non-calculator) worksheet (with solutions)

A worksheet on finding the fraction of an amount. Solutions are included. From https://placeformath.blogspot.com.cy/p/worksheet-shop.html

Higher or Lower?

Superb starter or plenary for any maths lesson! This presentation includes 8 games: - 2 games containing numbers in the 10 times tables - 2 games containing numbers in the 5 times tables - 2 games containing numbers in the 2 times tables - 2 games containing numbers from 1 to 10 How to play: 1. Flip over the first card. 2. Ask a child to say if they think the next card will be 'higher' or 'lower' than the card displayed. If they get the answer correct, they continue. If they get the answer wrong, start over with another child. 3. You can make each game easier by displaying all the possible numbers. Then just cross them off as they appear in the game (the children will know exactly what numbers are remaining thus increasing their chance of winning).

Multiplication & Division Triangles

Practice basic multiplication and division facts. From the 2 times tables to the 12 times table, emphasizing the connection between multiplication and division. Hold the triangle by one corner, from the other two numbers work out or recall the number hidden under the thumb. Very simple but very effective.

Easter Problem Solving Differentiated Bundle.

Level 1/KS1 and Level 2/KS2 versions of a problem solving activity where children need to use various mathematical strategies to find out where the Easter bunny has left Easter treats in school. A fun activity for when teachers want to give their pupils an Easter treat such as a creme egg. Ideal for composite of mixed ability classes as the two activities are similar but KS2/Level 2 involves more challenge. Also includes French and Spanish Easter themed word searches.
