Interactive Music Symbols Games-Google Slides/Adobe Reader-Outdoor Adventures

Interactive Music Symbols Games-Google Slides/Adobe Reader-Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Adventures -Music Symbols and Terms is an interactive Outdoor themed Music game designed for both Google Slides and Adobe Reader (PDF). It allows students go on a virtual adventure visiting different scenes to help the children with practicing their music skills and provide teachers an opportunity to assess students in the process. Students will learn about various woodland animals and outdoor activities in the process of practicing music skills. Students pick a person or animal while searching for forest friends. In the process, they get music questions to practice. When they get it correct, they learn an interesting fact about the animal or the activity pictured. This is a great back to school review activity or one to play any time during the year! It is a great way to integrate technology into the classroom and differentiate instruction. It also helps students (especially second language learners) develop language skills and vocabulary development. But, most importantly, it provides lots of fun while learning about Music! When designing this product, I was thinking of how my own students love to take turns playing games in my class. They can’t get enough of it and always want “another turn.” This product has plenty of opportunities for students to have several turns during one class, or over several class periods. This game can be projected for a class to play at once or used on an iPad or tablet for individual for small group/center play. It can be assigned through Google Classroom as a way to practice skills independently. It takes the place of flash cards! Each location is like a mini game It can be played over one or several class periods. LOTS of content here! I hope your students enjoy Outdoor Adventures Interactive Music Symbols and Terms Game as much as my students have! What’s included: Google Slides link and QR code Adobe PDF game Suggestions for Gameplay Scoring Sheets Score cards

Endangered species plant pots

Endangered species plant pots

This creative and practical activity is aimed at primary school children, who will require the help of an adult for scissor use. Children will select an endangered species from Arkive.org, to recreate in plant pot form. They must read about the habitat where the animal lives and recreate this using another plastic pot as a drip tray for excess water. The students will then fill the pots with soil and plant their seeds. As well as teaching students about the environments in which endangered species live, the importance of reusing or recycling plastic can also be highlighted throughout, as an additional educational element. Students can also learn about the life cycle of plants while their seeds grow into seedlings, then fully grown plants. Find out more about endangered species: arkive.org/endangered-species/ Find out more about plastics and their effect on the environment: www.arkive.org/c/marine-plastics Find out more about plants: arkive.org/education/teaching-resources-7-11#resourcePlants
