Annotating Sketchbooks Bundle

Annotating Sketchbooks Bundle

These three resources combine to make an effective annotation toolkit! 1. ANNOTATING SKETCHBOOKS PRESENTATION (18 Slides) An essential presentation for GCSE and A Level which explains and gives excellent examples of how to annotate a sketchbook page. I really saw an improvement in annotation after showing my students this! The presentation includes a SCRIPT which you should print out before presenting by going to File>print>notes page>print. The presentation looks at: ~ The difference between writing and annotation. (Both are fine!) ~ Recording on location ~ Research Pages - what annotation should be included ~ How to annotate working with different media and colours ~ How to annotate development work All the sketchbook pages included are inspirational! 2. SENTENCE STARTERS FOR ANNOTATING SKETCHBOOKS* Support your students when annotating their sketchbooks with these sentence starters. Areas covered include: Artist Research Pages Experimenting with Different Media Content Development Personal Response Reviewing Compositions This resource also includes some good examples of annotation in the black boxes. WRITING ABOUT ART LITERACY MAT* A really fantastic place-mat to support writing about art. Simply ask you students to write a sentence about each of the categories e.g. line, tone, texture etc using the adjectives provided. This has been designed to work with any artwork. An example is also included on the place-mat using a landscape drawing by Cezanne. I always tell students that they don't need to limit themselves to the words on the list, so this provides support for those who need it but also lets other students fly! This could also be used for gallery education.

EUROPE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUIZ - 100 MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUESTIONS

EUROPE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUIZ - 100 MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUESTIONS

THE GREAT BIG EUROPE QUIZ - PERFECT FOR HONING YOUR STUDENTS' KNOWLEDGE OF ALL THINGS EUROPEAN - ART, CULTURE, FOOD, GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, LANGUAGE, LITERATURE, MUSIC, PEOPLE, POLITICS, SCIENCE AND SOCIETY! This quiz features 100 multiple-choice questions, and is perfect for developing students’ awareness, understanding and knowledge of all things EUROPEAN. The questions range from basic general knowledge to more specialized factual knowledge. They address a comprehensive range of topics: art, culture, food, geography, history, language, literature, music, people, politics, science and society. You can be QUIZ QUESTION MASTER, but students do enjoy taking on that role in turns. The questions often stimulate further and deeper discussion about particular themes and topcs - for example, the question regarding Pythagoras’ identity always gets students talking about Pi, 3.14 and how many points they can remember! The quiz is in a basic, editable presentation format, with the correct answer revealed in bold on the second click. It's ideal for a whole-group activity, with students choosing a European-themed team name. Play in homeroom or in any subject area lesson as a brain-break - the questions really are cross-curricular! Play several times at intervals across the school year - this really does put students’ memory and developing knowledge to the test. The quiz goes down particularly well at key points in the school year: end of year, back to school, Christmas and so on. I've also used the quiz at whole-school events - great for the whole family to play! Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - the quiz is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. THANKS AND HAVE FUN!
