Sportsmanship

Sportsmanship

During the sessions, the facilitator is encouraged to allow the participants to think about the topic, express their viewpoints, share their experiences and explore its applicability in day to day life. The facilitator would allow the participants to arrive at their own conclusions, rather than imposing his views or opinions – they could even be different from the thoughts given here. DESCRIPTION (Thoughts such as, what does sportsmanship mean, what it is all about and what its different facets are, may enable the facilitator understand it better. Some such thoughts about sportsmanship are given below.) Sportsmanship is the attitude of a person, which makes him accept a given situation with an open mind. Sportsmanship refers to fairness, self-control, courage, honesty and persistence. Sportsmanship is accepting the end result of a game – winning or losing – with equanimity. Sportsman spirit includes respect for others including team members and opponents. It is what brings about healthy competition among the participants. The intent and questions to be followed in the preparation document. AQA GCSE PE 6+9 Mark exam question scaffolds

AQA GCSE PE 6+9 Mark exam question scaffolds

The scaffolds have been used to help AQA GCSE PE students structure and write detailed and high quality 6/9 mark question responses. As students have become more confident, less scaffolding has been given and the question prompts at the side have been reduced/removed completely; provide them with an empty table and get them to come up the prompt questions. Command words have also been linked to the assessment objectives to highlight the level of detail required to meet the criteria.

Edexcel GCSE 9-1 PE Theory key terms

This is a series of posters I created for a colleague of mine in the PE department. Contains around 60 key terms that are covered in GCSE PE theory, and can be used either as posters or little notes to stick into a workbook. I also created a Quizlet revision guide with the same key terms, and my username there is the same as here, so you should be able to find it under “PE Theory”. Terms and definitions are the same.
