Multiplication and Division Consolidation Year 4 Block 4 WRM Reasoning and Problem Solving

This resource is aimed at Year 4 Secure and has been designed to give children the opportunity to consolidate the skills they have learned in the White Rose Maths Guidance and Examples Block 4 – Multiplication and Division. The questions are based on a selection of the same ‘small steps’ that are addressed in the block, but are presented in a different way so children can work through the pack independently and demonstrate their understanding and skills. This resource is themed around helping a superhero team called 'The Alliance' to defeat Dr Doppelganger who has created a cloning liquid. Word Crush Word Building Game

Word Crush – Word Building Phonics with Word Families strengthens phonics skills as kids build words using onset and rime. Great for reading centers, special education, Orton-Gillingham programs, and tutoring. There are 16 rime cards with welded/glued sounds. This can be used with any reading or phonics program and blank cards are included to add additional sounds or word families. Kids use the Word Crush Board to hunt for beginning sounds to make words. The board includes consonants, digraphs, and blends. Turn it into a game to see which sound gets the highest score. Game boards increase in difficulty to easily provide differentiated practice. ★The Super Syllable Division Resource Book. is a ready reference for using syllable division rules to decode multisyllable words. Students create their own books including tips and tricks to divide and read syllables. Also included is a sort activity for practice with each rule. Slam Dunk - This syllable division word work game gives kids an interactive way to practice sorting by syllable division rules. Students sort by VC/CV, V/CV, VC/V, V/V, /C-le, compound words, words with prefixes/suffixes, and words with blends and digraphs. Match two syllables on the basketballs to make a word and slam dunk them on the correct syllable division rule basket. Includes 84 syllables to form 42 words. Playing instructions and a word list are included. ★ Syllable Division Rules Bookmark and Anchor Chart. These resources can be used as a group or individual activity and are great for reading centers and special education. They are designed to work with any Orton-Gillingham based reading program and are perfect for students with dyslexia.
