Discussion points -structured talk

A resource to encourage purposeful talk by giving a focus for a discussion.
The objective is to encourage students to talk and so develop oral skills.
Each Discussion Point provides a focus for discussion often of a values and citizenship nature such as ‘should the British government apologise for the actions of past leaders?
The objective is for each group to come up with one agreed answer so as well as developing oral skills it also supports team working and problem solving skills.

Discussion Points provide a talking point to consider and so can help promote tolerance and understanding as well as being a valuable citizenship resource. (80 stimuli)
The resources supplied are a power point with 80 different stimuli which are also supplied in a word document.
