Ideal for Primary school or SEN. Useful for assessment, revision or as a fun group activity.
Download an A4 map of your local area (ensure that the school is not labelled or cover it up before photocopying).
Using the 4 worksheets put students in pairs or small groups of out 4.
Let them work together to think of a map title, add in the North sign, circle the scale, write in a key and find and either number, label or follow other instructions to explore the map in front of them.
There is extension work for those groups who finish first to find out details from six of the local cafes they have identified.
