Website Evaluation (Editable in Google Docs)

Website Evaluation (Editable in Google Docs)

This is a checklist to use to check websites for reliability. This can be used for extra practice looking for high quality sites or during the research process. Students must look for certain criteria in their selected website. They then add up the totals to see if the website can be used as a reliable source of information. Included is a printable PDF file as well as an editable Google Doc. This way you can change the website evaluation before printing it out for your students or you can provide them a digital copy.

Internet, Cybersecurity and Desktop Publishing - KS3

Internet, Cybersecurity and Desktop Publishing - KS3

A KS3 scheme of work for 6 lessons that incorporates skills for Desktop Publishing to create a information leaflet that educates parents or fellow students about the Internet, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity. First three lessons are information and activities: How the internet works What is cybercrime - viruses, ddos and phishing What is social engineering - phishing, pharming, blagging and shouldering Please note that lesson three uses a worksheet from CAS: http://community.computingatschool.org.uk/resources/4865/single Last three lessons are for creating the leaflet, peer review and finishing up. This can be used as a scaffold to work from or can be used as is. Note: I am partly using TES to check the quality of my resources - I’d appreciate helpfully critical feedback as well as positive reviews.

E-Safety Real life vs Online Primary School Assembly

E-Safety Real life vs Online Primary School Assembly

A role play of different scenarios that are the same in real life as they are online. Will the children react differently when they are online to real life? Should we actually be behaving in exactly the same way online as we do in real life? A thought provoking assembly that really hit home with the children.
