End of term puzzle Stimmt 1 unit 4 Schule ist Klasse

End of term puzzle Stimmt 1 unit 4 Schule ist Klasse

This is a tarsia puzzle to practise vocab from chapter 4 in Stimmt 1 (school). A tarsia consists of puzzle pieces that the students cut out and then match words to form a certain shape (ideally students don’t know what shape that is). They will quickly realise their mistakes if the puzzle won’t fit together. Great activity for Friday afternoons, cover lessons or end of term. This download includes: sheets for students with jumbled up puzzle pieces, an answer sheet for the teacher in list form and one showing the shape. If the print quality of the powerpoint is not good enough, use the attached pdf version.

Worksheet on Timetables and Opinions on School Subjects

Worksheet on Timetables and Opinions on School Subjects

Students need to extract information from a written text and a timetable in order to answer a set of true or false questions. There is also a translation activity as an extension (this is why there are lines under each statement). The worksheet would be a good scaffolding activity to support students with describing their own timetables.

GERMAN Cluedo card game for speaking / listening on topic of school

GERMAN Cluedo card game for speaking / listening on topic of school

This is a cluedo card game on the topic of school to practise speaking and listening skills with school vocabulary. Powerpoint of instructions. Cards (people, places, weapons) which can be cut up (and laminated?) for each group. Detective notebook sheets for students to record their answers. A good group activity which engages students and means students have to ask and answer questions in German.
