Scales of Production 9-1 new spec Design Technology

I have created this resource to use alongside the new Design Technology 9-1 to cover the various types and scales of production. The power point I have created is over 30 slides long and you can change / adapt to suit your specific classroom needs. In the power point we cover areas such as Methods for manufacturing, Lean manufacturing, Jigs and fixtures, Templates and patterns, Steam Bending Machines, One off, Batch, Continuous, flow diagrams, Automated large scale production including advantages and disadvantages. I really find this power point useful and I hope you do as well.

Effective questioning Techniques in Design Technology Posters and activities

Effective questioning Techniques in Design Technology Posters and activities

This resource was creates alongside Bloom's Taxonomy to promote higer questioning techniques in Design Technology. I have created this resource to include A3 wall posters x7 alongside a word document with sample questioning stems and potential activities and products. This resource uses Bloom’s taxonomy to analyse design and technology questions. Bloom's was created in 1956 under the leadership of educational psychologist Dr Benjamin Bloom in order to promote higher forms of thinking in education, such as analyzing and evaluating concepts, processes, procedures, and principles, rather than just remembering facts

Designing a Digital Watermark

Designing a Digital Watermark

Disclaimer: ***In order to use this product you must have access to iPads, the app Drawing Desk, and Google Drive. Access to the above mentioned products are not included in this purchase.*** This packet is a great and easy way for students to create their own Digital Watermark to be used in presentations, documents, slide shows, digital books, basically anything that can accept the placement of a photo. Similar to the idea of a watermark on a photograph, this affords students the chance to unleash their creativity and add a unique digital "signature" to their work. This is also a nice transition to graphic design and is great for all primary ages.
