Ten interactive competitive games on Physics A-level topics. These will make a very welcome break from other less thrilling means of revision. The Matching Pairs Game is a fun and competitive interactive whiteboard game in which two teams take it in turns to match tiles. #### Interactive Games and Attention Grabbing Starters

In this collection I have tried to gather attention grabbing resources. Whether you are teaching cheeky monkeys or aloof A-level classes, these are real winners. The "Matching Pairs Interactive Game" and "Two Team IWB Quiz Game" use the interactive whiteboard in a creative and engaging way.

#### Dividing a line in a given ratio plenary

Students divide a line in a given ratio and eliminate 8 of the 9 answers until they have one remaining. Used as a plenary to this topic.

#### Factor theorem

A powerpoint explaining the use of the factor theorem. this was designed to be used with the bridging course &quot;Level 2 further maths&quot;, but it will be applicable to other courses.

#### Year 4/KS2 Maths Investigation - Place Value and Ascending Order

This is a maths investigation for KS2. They will need to find the smallest number they can make with 4 digits, and then the biggest number. Then all of the numbers in between in ascending order. They will need to be able to order and compare numbers, know their place value and then work systematically to find all of the combinations of numbers. This has worked well with a Year 4 class I tried it on. Includes recording sheet and challenge cards to ensure mastery.

A lesson showing students how to find the solution to an algebraic expression through decimal search. The lesson also includes two questions for students to attempt.

#### Warm The Brain: Fun Logical Problem Solving Starters

Six splendid puzzles to display on your interactive whiteboard. These make great lesson starters and are an essential part of a teacher's toolkit. You probably already know the River Crossing puzzle. The puzzles are animated to make them very attention grabbing. No printing is needed; all the puzzles should be solvable without the need to write anything down. Very engaging and fun.
