White Rose Maths Complete Y2 Multiplication and Division Weekly Planning

This weekly planning follows the White Rose Maths small steps guidance. It covers Y2 Block 4 Multiplication and the new Spring Block 1 Multiplication & Division. It makes direct reference to models used in WRM and I have added the Interim Framework Standards so that evidence can also be gathered towards these statements. I have also included my adapted Y2 overview that links all the Interim Statements to the WRM blocks. The Spring Block 1 planning also has daily worksheets. I have also included my Block 3 Measurement (Money) weekly planning as an extra :-)

Areas of 2D Shapes: BODMAS, and Algebra Problem Solving

7 page pdf booklet. Reminders of the rules (along with shape diagrams with dimensions) for obtaining the areas of squares, rectangles, triangles, rhombuses, parallelograms, and trapeziums are provided. There are 10 questions asking students to find missing areas, heights and widths using number values required for substitution into formulae provided for such 2D shapes. Three example algebraic problems are then reviewed and full workings (with reminders about BODMAS) provided: 1) Substitution of an x value into length and width expressions to find a missing area of a rectangle; 2) Finding the value of x given an area value for a rectangle, and length and width in terms of x; 3) Finding the value of x and a width given expressions in x for opposite lengths in a rectangle as well as its value of area. These examples are followed by another 10 questions for more able students requiring substitution of algebraic terms into such area formulae as per the 3 examples provided.

2D and 3D Shape Assessment Sheet

In this document there is an assessment sheet for 2D shapes and an assessment sheet for 3D shapes, both with another sheet with answers so children can peer or self assess. The 2D shape sheet asks children to draw the shapes and the 3d shape sheet asks children to circle the correct shape.

Key Stage 2 CHRISTMAS NUMERACY BUNDLE

This giant bundle of resources is everything a teacher needs in the busy Christmas period. There are a range of numeracy tasks to suit all abilities. The resources are bright, festive and fun while still covering NC requirements. They can be picked-up and put-down between other 'Christmas' activities and the children really enjoy completing them.

Geometry Shape Consolidation Year 1 Block 3 WRM Reasoning and Problem Solving

This resource is aimed at Year 1 Secure and has been designed to give children the opportunity to consolidate the skills they have learned in the White Rose Maths Guidance and Examples Block 3 – Geometry: Shape The questions are based on a selection of the same ‘small steps’ that are addressed in the block, but are presented in a different way so children can work through the pack independently and demonstrate their understanding and skills. You can find more Reasoning and Problem Solving resources designed to be used with the White Rose Maths Guide here: https://classroomsecrets.co.uk/search/?fwp_topic=white-rose

Y2 White Rose Overview with Interim Framework Standards

I have added the Interim Framework standards to the Y2 WRM overview. They are colour coded for working towards, expected and greater depth standards. The overview has been slightly adapted to ensure coverage before SATs. Hope it helps! Please check out my shop for more resources Miss G’s KS1 Stop Shop thank you!

CHRISTMAS 2D SHAPE - DATA PROCESSING/GATHERING

CHRISTMAS 2D SHAPE DATA These resources have been produced to encourage pupils to recognise, locate and process a range of 2D shapes and then categorise these shapes into clear data – including TALLY CHARTS, BAR GRAPHS, CARROLL diagrams and VENN diagrams. This way of information gathering shows pupils how a range of data can be displayed. There are two sets of differentiated Data resources to process – Red Roof and Baubles. There is also a third set – Tree that requires pupils to label the charts before they enter the data. This resource is suitable for KS 2 children who are processing a range of data and have knowledge of a range of 2D shapes.
