This assembly is ready to go! ‘Toys through Time’ links with both the History curriculum and the PSHE curriculum, with a theme that is rooted in upstanding values and is relevant to the children’s everyday lives and interests. This assembly teaches that sharing, fair-play and fun with friends never goes out of fashion, with a whistle-stop tour of toys through the ages. From ragdolls and the birth of Mickey Mouse to video games and Frozen, the message is clear; share, care and play fair. There is a part for every child – whether acting, singing, dancing or leading a prayer - and a little audience participation thrown in! Plans created by an Ofsted Good/Outstanding classroom teacher – History and Drama co-ordinator – with over ten years of experience. These outstanding assemblies have consistently engaged and excited all 30 performers in class … and have even got the adults in the audience up on their feet!

This resource relates to counting 1 to 10. Aimed at: EYFS/Year 1. The resource consists of a 40 Slide PowerPoint Presentation divided into sections. -First section - Slides 1 to 10: as each number appears the cars float in to match the numeral. - Second section: Just the numbers appear which the children read aloud from 1 to 10 - Final section: Children count how many cars in the toy box. The answer appears after each slide. Consolidation: Counting worksheets and Cut and Paste Activities Worksheets (4 pages) - Children count the cars in Hannah's toy box and write the number in the blank space. Activity 1 - Children match the cars with the same number and then colour the cars the same colour. Please see example in preview. Activity 2 - Children read the number on Tom's toy box (number recognition) and then count and cut out the same number of cars to stick onto the toy boxes.
