Key stage 3/4 Food preparation and nutrition knowledge 'levels' assessment sheet/grid

Key stage 3/4 Food preparation and nutrition knowledge 'levels' assessment sheet/grid

I made an assessment grid for practical skills a few years ago. This is my attempt at tracking progress in Food theory based round some of the new GCSE specs. I have left the old 'levels' columns for rough reference but as every school has a different KS3 assessment policy please feel free to modify to fit in with your you call them. Works well for student self and peer assessment but also can be shared with parents. I have based it on the areas that work and line up with what I want to see in KS4 but again if there are any you think are not useful please adapt. I have gone for: 1) Nutrition & healthy eating 2) Environmental awareness 3) Packaging & cost 4) Dish idea generation & development 5) Functional properties of food/ cooking methods 6) Food choices

'How to Become a Successful TES Author - Step by Step Guide' - A 'Must Have' For Authors!

'How to Become a Successful TES Author - Step by Step Guide' - A 'Must Have' For Authors!

I began to produce educational resources for TES in August 2015. When I look back at my early resources I cringe! I made so many mistakes…. Since then I have come a long way and learned so much. I currently have 40 TES recommended resources. One of my resources made over 900 sales in the space of a few weeks and earned nearly £2000 in royalties. I have recently been shortlisted as one of eight nominees for the TES 2017, Bev Evans, Author of the Year Award. In this 26-page, step by step guide I share my mistakes and my successes to help you avoid making the same mistakes and to become a successful author sooner than you would have done without this guide. I do not claim to have all the answers and ‘my way’ might not be other people’s way. However, whether you are a potential author, an author starting out or already an author; I am sure that this guide can help you in some way and will prove a worthwhile investment. The guide includes advice on Making resources Maximising the selling potential of resources Creating a cover page Sourcing images Copyrighting your resources Pricing your resources Product Descriptions HTML codes for creating bold, italics, underlining, bullet pints and numbered lists for product description page Adding links to other products and your shop in descriptions Creating your TES shop Branding Increasing the visibility of your resources Promoting your products through social media platforms Promoting yourself Dealing with reviews General advice The resource also contains hyperlinks to some very useful sites and tools which will help you in making and promoting your products. Other Resources for Authors Author Calendar and Planner Nine out of ten of my top selling resources are seasonal resources and special days resources. My everyday resources are my 'bread and butter' resources; my seasonal resources are truly the icing on my cake! Plan your seasonal resources with this calendar and planner which contains all the major special days and awareness days for the whole year. No more missing special days or not allocating yourself enough time to produce resources. Days that change in date each year are highlighted red; days that are fixed are black.
