Zahlen (Numbers in German) Slap game

Zahlen (Numbers in German) Slap game

Cards include digits and words in German for the numbers 0 to 1000; there is a total of 30 cards. Print on cardstock and cut into cards. Make 1 set for every 3-4 students. Place cards face up on the desk. If the teacher calls out a number in German, the first student to slap the digit card wins that point. If the teacher calls out a number in English, the first student to slap the right card in German wins that point.

GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 CHALLENGE CARDS

GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 CHALLENGE CARDS

PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING GERMAN LANGUAGE SKILLS AS WELL AS PRACTISING AND REVISING GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 - 36 CHALLENGE CARDS WITH RECORDING SHEET AND FULL ANSWER KEY! GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 CHALLENGE CARDS really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of GERMAN numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarise themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling numbers in GERMAN. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on Numbers 0-31, but also as an all-year-round starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as the goal is not simply to learn how to count in GERMAN, but also to enjoy working with GERMAN, and to feel confident about doing so. The questions range in complexity and challenge, and are great for honing numeracy skills too - especially if calculators are not allowed! The resource comprises the following 3 files: Set of 36 cards, 4 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Print, laminate and cut out. Depending on how long you want the activity to last for, choose a particular number of cards per small group of students, and place them in a tin, bowl or small box so that students can easily select a card, and then replace at the end of the activity. You can simply place all the cards in the bowl/box and let students work their way through, either in a single lesson, or across a series of lessons - I’ve found 15-20 minutes across several lessons can work really well. Students do need to remember to file their recording sheets carefully! 2-page answer recording sheet. Best printed double-sided. 2-page answer key, again best printed double-sided, and laminated for longevity. One answer key for each small group is sufficient. Students find this reference sheet really useful - download it for free here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/german-numbers-0-31-reference-sheets-11756058 Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - this resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 REFERENCE SHEETS

GERMAN NUMBERS 0-31 REFERENCE SHEETS

PERFECT FOR SUPPORTING LEARNING IN YOUR CLASSROOM AND IDEAL FOR BEGINNING LEARNERS OF GERMAN! Create an instant reference resource for students focusing on essential GERMAN vocabulary. I've found that these kinds of reference lists are a really successful learning support resource, and are really popular with students too. They work well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. I designed this specifically for my young and/or beginning learners of GERMAN, featuring numbers 0-31. It’s a useful complementary resource to my other reference resources, but is a useful standalone resource too. The resource consists of 2 non-editable files in a zipped format. Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully. VIELEN DANK UND VIEL SPAß BEIM LERNEN!

Double Worksheet - Describing Pets / Animals - Physically + Personality +

Double Worksheet - Describing Pets / Animals - Physically + Personality +

This can be done in class or as a homework (for sharp learners) and presupposes acquisition of vocab for pets, physical description, personality and also a few clothes (&colour) . It showcases the use of some longer sentences with conjunctions UND and ABER. The longer gapfill tasks offer a decreasing level of support and the last writing task is merely providing a picture prompt. (i.e. the task requires "free writing")
