AQA German GCSE Reading Workbook

AQA German GCSE Reading Workbook

Based on the model answers for my German Writing Workbook (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/aqa-german-gcse-writing-workbook-and-model-answers-11657241) this reading workbook contains 3 reading worksheets for every topic in the new AQA German GCSE syllabus plus answers for every task at the end of the document. Ideal for reading practice and assessments in Key Stage 4, revision and independent work for Year 11, or extension work for more able Key Stage 3 students. This can also be used for cover lessons with non-specialists as the tasks are straightforward and there are answers. As well as the Word document, I have included a PDF in case the fonts are not available on certain computers and the formatting therefore doesn't work properly on the Word doc. All questions and answers are my own, based on the new specification GCSE reading papers, and the photos are from royalty-free websites and it is all therefore photocopiable.

German Tarsia Puzzles -(Immigration and Foreigners)

German Tarsia Puzzles -(Immigration and Foreigners)

This Resource includes 5 Tarsia Puzzles and matching tables including all the words in each puzzle, this is useful for checking answers, to keep in students workbooks, or to cut up and use as a separate matching task. The Vocab used to create these Tarsia Puzzles is aimed to help A Level students with topics surrounding immigration, however some vocab may also be useful for advanced GCSE students. This recourse is useful as a starter activity to introduce students into the topic, or could be used to reinforce the vocab learned during the lesson. Tarsia puzzles are especially effective for group work, and visual or physical learners, it gets students moving and working together as well as using their existing knowledge of the language to help them complete the task. These are also really effective as revision tools when coming closer to the exam, as they can be completed quickly and refresh the vocabulary knowledge without being laborious.
