These powerpoints were made by me during my A Level Spanish studies; they summarise key facts, figures and discussion points relating to each of the topics and sub-themes which will help when it comes to studying and revising for the speaking exam, as well as vocabulary for the written exams. They include all of the year one and year two topics, as well as useful vocab that’s either listed or used within each slide. It’s set out in an easy-to-use order to avoid confusion and has extra information (e.g. examples of events in the Spanish-speaking world which are relevant to each sub-theme and can be very impressive in the exam) and is handy for finding what you’re looking for. My teacher will be using these to support her next class, I am sure it will be very helpful!

A set of 24 Photo Cards covering the whole of Theme 2 (Local, national, international and global areas of interest) of the new GCSE course: - Home, town, neighbourhood and region (8 cards) - Social issues (charity/voluntary work; healthy, unhealthy living) (8 cards) - Global issues (the environment; poverty/homelessness) (4 cards) - Travel and tourism (4 cards). Each card includes four foundation questions (in red) and four higher question (in blue), the first of which is always '¿Qué hay en la foto?. If you like this resource, Photo Cards for themes one and thee, as well as a booklet containing all three themes, are also available. UPDATED: I have modified this resource to better resemble the photo cards on the AQA exam: there are now five foundation and five higher questions on each card (instead of four). At foundation level one of the first three questions (what in the exam would be the printed questions) requires the use of a tense other than the present. This a lesson to talk about films and racism. The lesson starts with comments about three Spanish films that have the same topic in common, the racism. Students can express their opinion about which one would be more interested to watch after reading the sypnosis of the films. They can think of a different film with the same topic to write the sypnosis and tell their classmate about it. The last activity is to talk about people who live in a foreign country, their opinions and comments about what they found difficult living abroad. Students express (using the condicional tense) what they think would be difficult for them if they were living in another country.
