PPT 1 was created for the second part of a lesson following on from atomic structure. The objectives are to: * recall the structure of an atom in terms of the positions, relative masses and relative charges of subatomic particles * recall what is meant by the terms atomic number and mass number * Define the terms isotopes and relative atomic mass (Ar) * Calculate the relative atomic mass of an element (Ar) from isotopic abundances. It includes practice for calculating Ar and an edexcel exam question. I have included the video from fuseschool which I have used in this lesson. PPT focuses on electronic configuration with teacher led presentation. Students can then complete the electronic configuration for first 20 elements.
