A lesson presentation (26 slides) that looks at the meaning of the term catalyst and then explores how these substances affect the rate of reaction. The lesson begins by ensuring that the students know an accurate definition for a catalyst. Moving forwards, time is taken to recap on the meaning of activation energy and how this is shown on a reaction profile.
