Reward Chart - Frozen's Elsa

Reward Chart - Frozen's Elsa

This reward chart is for all those Frozen fans and for the children who love Elsa the best! The style of this reward chart is quite unique, as it has four (or less) sections for you to write tasks or behaviours for your child to work on, but also has space for a small symbol or picture of that expectation underneath- to act as a visual cue or reminder for your child. There are then five circles of achievement on their way to a reward (snowflake). This chart comes with matching star circles for your child to place on the chart as they go and snowflakes to place on the chart when they are up to a reward! Reward charts can be used in both the home, and in schools, pre schools, day care centres etc and are suitable for a large range of ages. They are an effective way of teaching children how to modify undesirable behaviour, develop independence of specific tasks and follow through on instructions and when combined with a reward that is meaningful to the child, are a great incentive! Thank you for shopping at LittlePeopleLove! I hope you enjoy your products and find them both lovely to look at and supportive of the special little people in your life! Kate xx

Visual weekly planning chart for home & school

Visual weekly planning chart for home & school

This weekly chart is excellent for supporting children and adults with communication difficulties and those who find structuring their day and week challenging, especially when there is a change to their normal routine. The pack includes 3 A3 sized charts (can be printed out on A4 via your print settings at home/school) in grey, pink and blue and also over 70 different symbols cards that are 4cmx4cm using the well known images from Mayer Johnston’s Boardmaker Studio. All you have to do is cut and laminate the small cards and they will last for a long time, no problems if one gets lost you can simply reprint. I use double sided velcro on mine, but blue/white tac works just as well. I use this in my class and have given parents a copy to use at home so we provide consistent, I also use this at my daily communication group for pupils to share their news and any changes to our normal routine so everyone can be prepared. My School Timetable-Flip Book

My School Timetable-Flip Book

This listing is for a school timetable flip book and matching set of school activity cards. It has a page for each day of the school week and boxes that represent a part of the school day. Teachers can stick the day’s row of activities in order, onto the timetable. This timetable was designed with children on the Autism Spectrum in mind, as they often like to know what their day is going to look like and find a visual reference point very helpful. Rather than having to look up at the board all the time to find out what is happening during the day, laminating this timetable and binding it or placing it into a folder that that can see from their seat, will enable them to find the reassurance they need, without disrupting their work by leaving their desk. It’s designed for children in junior to middle primary (elementary) school. Thank you for shopping at LittlePeopleLove! I hope you enjoy your products and find them both lovely to look at and supportive of the special little people in your life! Kate xx

It’s designed for children in middle to upper primary (elementary) school and I would recommend that teachers or aides only fasten one day’s worth of activities to the timetable at any one time, to avoid the child feeling overwhelmed by a whole week at once. Learning to count for special educational needs/EYFS based on EYFS curriculum.

Learning to count for special educational needs/EYFS based on EYFS curriculum.

Based on my experience of teaching an autistic boy with a severe learning difficulty. He was in KS1 but I had to step back with his learning and build the foundations he needed before he could move on. He can now count to 10 and match quantities to numbers. The idea is that anyone can learn as long as they have the appropriate skills/tools. The booklet is based on the EYFS curriculum - so can be used for EYFS children as well - it is definitely not definitive and there’s lots of other demonstrations of learning that your children may show that aren’t in my booklet. In short, please consult the EYFS curriculum.

This listing is for a cute and colorful card set, that is designed to help children to successfully transition from one activity to the next. Each card comes with a word and picture that supports any verbal instructions a teacher might be giving. These cards are great for all children, especially pre schoolers, who are reluctant to finish up when they’re enjoying themselves, but are essential for children on the Autism Spectrum, as they provide a visual reference and time to prepare for change. They are designed to be worn by teachers/aides/educators on lanyards or rings, so that they are easily accessible and provide consistent cues for the children. These cards work as a terrific complimentary resource to my Traffic Light Behaviour Cards and Time Countdown Cards - as they are all the same size and can be attached to the same lanyard for a well-equipped, handy resource. Neurodiversity Strengths Checklist - useful for SEND and INCLUSION departments

Neurodiversity Strengths Checklist - useful for SEND and INCLUSION departments

Psychometric and neurocognitive assessments are important when assessing need. But what about individual strengths? My background is in neuroscience although I also work as an Assistant SENCo within my local school. I wanted to design a useful tool so assessing neurocognitive strengths would be easy for individuals without a neuroscience background. Once these are found then designing bespoke intervention becomes an easier task. While some neurodiversities can make certain tasks more difficult, they can equally be of benefit in other areas. Neurodiverse minds have a great many strengths and schools need various tools to help them recognise what they are for each individual. The NSC is a non-diagnostic tool that can help professionals working in schools identify where the neurodiverse strengths are for each individual student. Neurodiversity assumes everyone everywhere has neurodiverse strengths. The ethos behind the NSC is that it is down to each professional within every school to do everything reasonably possible to search for these strengths and attempt to develop them in a proactive and positive way in order to develop the students learning abilities. I hope people find it useful.

Individual Lesson Objective booklet

Individual Lesson Objective booklet

This is a professional, well put together booklet for learners to fill out during a lesson. Each session learners are to give themselves an objective and state what they plan to achieve. The booklet has an example, some ideas of what they could write and words they could use. This document gives learners a target as well as stretch and challenge tasks. This booklet will also show progression over 1 to 36 weeks. It is to the point and easy to fill in. I use this for a particular group of Carpentry learners that do not have a training booklet or any other proof of progression. Ideal for OFSTED and observations.

Smartphone Behavior Chart BUNDLE (Pastel and Bold Colors)

►What’s Included?◄ You will receive: -Both color variations (Pastel and Bold) of the above Smartphone printables, which are roughly 8 x 8 inches and 300 pixels per inch (ppi), ensuring crisp quality when printed. **$2.00 cheaper than buying each product separately! ►How to Use◄ Finally, a redesign (and more personalized version) of the most popular classwide behavior intervention used by teachers today! The gist is this: Start the day with your child or student’s token/clothespin/clip on the green area of the chart. Throughout the day, when your child or student makes a good decision in the home or classroom, instruct them to move their token/clip up the chart. When bad decisions are made, they move their token/clip down the chart. This visual allows the child to self-monitor his or her own behaviors. It is a particularly effective intervention when reinforced with rewards. For example, if you end the day in the purple or green area of the chart, you get a sticker or piece of candy. This intervention can be used throughout the whole day, but it is also effective for shorter durations or transitions. A common example for parents: if your child has difficulty following their bedtime routine, you can implement the chart at the start of the evening and offer a reinforcement right before bed if they end the night on the green or purple area of the chart. A common example for teachers: if your students struggle with a less preferred activity, such as large group instructional time, you can implement the behavior chart at the beginning of instructional time and rewards all students who end instructional time with their tokens in the green or purple areas of their charts. ► Terms of Use ◄ This artwork is copyrighted by Roots To Growth. ►What’s Included?◄ You will receive: -the above Smartphone printable, which is roughly 8 x 8 inches and 300 pixels per inch (ppi), ensuring crisp quality when printed. My Behavior is Super! Token System

My Behavior is Super! Token System

►What’s Included?◄ You will receive: -Both color variations displayed in the thumbnail, -1.5 by 1.5 inch “Wow!” tokens in various colors, -And 60 pictures of reinforcing toys/activities to work for (in PDF format with 20 pictures to a page) *Superhero prints are roughly 6 x 6 inches and 300 pixels per inch (ppi), ensuring crisp quality when printed. ►How to Use◄ Do you find yourself repeating the same request three or four times before your child or student complies? Fret no more! Children perform better on tasks whenever an incentive is provided, which is where this product comes in! The gist is this: tokens can be traded for access to a variety of rewards (including activities or inexpensive items) in return for good behavior. Allow your child or student to assist in selecting a reward. This allows for optimal reinforcement, and will also facilitate the development of self-monitoring behaviors. Reward good behaviors more frequently when first implementing this product into your daily routine. As your child becomes familiar with the process of the token system, you can stretch the amount of time between delivery of tokens for good behaviors. This product can be adapted to suit any need. For example, a child who struggles to complete their nightly routine can use the token system while performing each step of this routine (one token for taking a bath, one for putting on their pajamas, and one for brushing their teeth). It can also be used for academic routines, such as homework completion (for example, the child receives one token per 5 math problems completed, or one token per correct spelling word). For children with special needs, such as Autism, this token system can be used to facilitate communication or peer interaction (for example, earning a token when making appropriate eye contact or when using appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication). For children with ADHD or inattentive behaviors, tokens can be provided when they remain seating or focused during instructional time for a pre-decided amount of time. ► Terms of Use ◄ This artwork is copyrighted by Roots To Growth. Reading Intervention Programme Resources

Reading Intervention Programme Resources

This resource contains examples of baseline assessment tables, and an example of how this translates into a four week plan for a group of children. A plan for one week’s sessions, demonstrates how teaching targets, and group plans translate into individualised teaching points. Two examples of Most Common Word Teaching Resources are included, as is a Question Word, and Answer, Prompt Sheet. These could be used with the resource “An Effective Proven Reading Intervention Programme”, or as separate items. The process of breaking down the results of baseline assessments, of reading, into individual lesson outlines, may be useful for teachers, and TAs.

National Curriculum linked Grapheme-Phoneme Reading Test

National Curriculum linked Grapheme-Phoneme Reading Test

This resource contains a list of words, which are related to the National Curriculum Appendix 1, for Key Stage 1 and 2. The list is useful for assessing the ability of children to read words containing the Grapheme-Phoneme correspondences outlined in the National Curriculum. The test can be used to identify sounds which the child does not yet know, which they can be taught. For this reason, it is especially useful w here a child is not making progress in their ability to read accurately. Once a sound, or group of sounds, has been identified as being unrecognised by the child, they can be the focus of any teaching. This test can form the first step in an Assessment, Plan, Do and Review cycle. The test was used as part of the programme outlined in “Improving Reading Accuracy, and Comprehension, Programme Outline”

Improving Reading Accuracy, and Comprehension, Programme Outline

This intervention can be used with children from Key Stage 1 and 2. It can also be used with children in secondary schools, who have difficulty reading. The programme can be administered by teachers, or a TA, with teacher support. The programme focuses on the development of reading accuracy and comprehension. The success of the intervention, and proof of success, relies on a detailed assessment of need. Related assessment resources are being added to the TES website. The process of Assess, plan, do , review, is consistent with the cycle outlined in The Code of Practice.
