Musical Story Massage- Alice in Wonderland

An example of a Musical Story Massage session used with pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This session could be used in other settings including at home with parent and child. This version could be shared with parents as an end of term gift or a home activity for pupils with PMLD. A printable CD cover is included if you would like to burn the songs to a disc to share with parents. Please note that the following track are not my own but can be downloaded from youtube. It has lots of ideas for engaging the pupil with significant learning needs in moments of reflection and calm. It links to celebrations and suggests ways in which peers can be included. As the pupil works through the tasks it indicates ways of assessing small steps progress. These activity plans have been developed by teachers for teachers with multi-professional advisory support. NPQSL Combined task done within an SEN setting. I passed all areas and feedback was positive. I found that the not knowing how to best set out my project was by far the most significant hurdle I faced. Hopefully this will help! This project may also help senior leaders with the on-going improvement of teaching and learning in an SEN setting. There is detailed information including Individual action points, outcomes and how the project can be on going and reactive to arising teaching and learning needs/trends cross the school.
